Elena Vitman was born in the Far East. She graduated from St. Petersburg State Conservatory. and post-graduate course of St. Petersburg Conservatory (class of Prof. Irina Bogacheva). Since 1996 Elena Vitman - a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, where she made her debut in the party Lyubava (Sadko). Among the roles she has sung at the Mariinsky Theatre:
As part of the Mariinsky Theatre Elena Vitman toured in the UK (Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Barbican Centre in London, a festival in Cardiff, Wales), Spain (Teatro Real Madrid), Germany (Baden-Baden), Israel, Japan and the USA ( Kennedy Centre Washington).
The singer also active in chamber music programs in St. Petersburg and the cities of Germany. In 2009, Elena Vitman became the first Russian artist of the Party Nurse in Strauss's opera «A woman without a shadow», and also sang at the premiere party Frosya staging of «Semyon Kotko» at the Mariinsky Theatre in 1999.
n 2009 Elena Vitman participated in the recording of the opera «The Nose» for the label Mariinsky, this recording was nominated for a Grammy. Also singer's discography includes recording of the opera «Elektra», undertaken by the Mariinsky Theatre in Stockholm.
